Collectivism is the ideology of the herd.
Individuals, of course, can form collectives as well and cooperate, but as equals, on the basis of individual rights, voluntarily.

I heard @24 say that Bitcoin is a herd animal. Interesting to hear more discussion of bad herd vs good herd properties & training for bad collectivist herds to change to individualists cooperating herds. Kinda a confusing topic. More herd training 😂 plz

Collectivism is a pack. Capitalism is a herd.

I would have put that the other way around...
The pack may have a leader, but the members are individuals and leave if they wish.
The herd has a shepherd and dogs and whoever tries to leave gets caught and punished.

A pack has a single breeding pair. That's like a hierarchy with one source of creativity at the top that orders everyone else around. In a herd, everyone is trying to be creative at the same time. That's capitalism.

All herd animals have to predict what everyone else will do in order to stick together. That is what we do when we guess at the correct price of Bitcoin. Herd animals also have antlers or horns, which is like hashpower.

For the herd to be wild and capitalist the shephards would have to go.
As it is there are some wild animals in the otherwise domesticated herd.

Personally I think we are just coming at this from different perspectives, but since that is enough to make you insult me there is no use in discussing it any further.
When I talk about the herd I do so in the context of collectivism, statism.

Lot of good points. Herds vs Packs. Good herds vs bad herds. Possible good packs vs bad packs. Consensus is that collectivism is bad.
Gnothi views domesticated herds as collectivist. DK views wild herds as capitalist.

So my point that herds are confusing stands & I can now frame my question better: How do you convert bad domesticated collectivist herds into good wild capitalistic herds? Kill the shepherd & teach the sheep to use Bitcoin & defend themselves? 🐑 -> 🐒?

I don't even disagree with a free herd being seen as capitalist at all.
A domesticated herd most certainly isn't.
But the shephard may very well be a capitalist and sell the herd to the slaughter.

Such a herd doesn't necessarily need an ideology.
A domesticated herd is based on violence and coercion.
Such a herd needs ideology to explain why the slaughter is necessary for the greater good.
