They had been on the hunt for days. Exhausted, near starved, dehydrated, their whole world consumed by the feast. For hours they lay with swollen stomachs next to the beast, fulfilled.

As the energy returned their minds quickly went to work on the next

A claim needed to be staked upon these grounds.

Neighboring tribes needed to receive the signal, they were fit now, they could afford to signal now.

So they attached 50 conch shells to a tortise and sent it off into the sunset.

As it turned out, you didnt really need to tell tribes about attaching shells to a tortise and sending it out; once most of the tribes were doing it the others either do it too or they will lose and possibly starve.

Nobody really had a choice anymore.
