Ammon is a lot, to take in, intense stuff he talks about. I'm a little confused though (maybe for lack of breadth in exploring his work). He seems to read through, translate, and derive his work from, the Septuagint. Which is according to conventional knowledge a greek translation of the original Hebrew scriptures, but according to Ammon, its the original.
I am WAY out of my depth on biblical stuff but I found this, which makes his stuff on Jesus confusing: "the Septuagint, completed between the 3rd and 2nd centuries BCE, predates the life of Jesus and does not contain explicit references to him or the apostles". So all the stuff he says about Jesus, where does it come from?
And is your sense that he is truly on to something with the trafficking and dark stuff that so-called Jesus was doing with the powers that were, at the time and still are today? Just curious of your thoughts because I know you've listened to more of his stuff than I have, ty.
But here's what I do get about his work, I think he is bringing light to dark historical stuff that unless we look at and face, we cannot grow as human beings.
I learn in weird ways, this is a cool summary, Q&A and transcript using an AI tool called Podwise. Maybe you will find it useful as well: https://bridgetdoran.notion.site/63-Ammon-Hillman-Jesus-Sex-Drugs-Mystery-Cults-of-Antiquity-14191fd47f8b817cacfefa34d67e3c14?pvs=4
^ of an interview of Ammon Hillman.
Yeah Ammon isn't the first one in history to say the Greek is the original and Hebrew is the copy. Ancient Hebrew having 8000 words, and most of the libraries recovered from that time Greek being the dominant language of the region. I believe the 1st written work in Hebrew was the old testament. I just believe that he's probably more accurate than not. The more I watch, the more I catch. He layers it thro every show, it's over my head until a couple weeks later. Then the references all seem to make sense. The new testament was all in Greek. He pulls alot of the references of Jesus there. Plus he uses sources of contemporary writers of the time it was canonized.
There was a writer Lucious that used terms that are the same terms in the new testament about the human trafficking pirates. He was writing this around the same time the bible was put together.
