Asana (the part of yoga most people call yoga; an interesting synecdoche) is indeed great; I also recommend a fully whole-foods plant-based diet and regular fasting if the goal is to extend lifespan and healthspan.
As an additional note, recall that asana is just the third of the eight limbs of yoga as described by Patanjali in the yoga sutras; the first limb is the yamas, ethical precepts, and the very first of the yamas, the most important, is ahimsa: nonviolence.
