I wanted to experiment with telling a short story using a consistent AI character.
The piece started with an experiment from a single image reference that I used across multiple Sora2 generations to keep the same anime characters consistent through different scenes. Each sequence was generated separately, then I composited and edited them together into one continuous film.
The story is pretty simple, fun and you can imagine this world existing. The character dives through an underwater fantasy world catching glowing magic slugs, then brings them back up and turns them into sushi.
I was thinking about the feeling of wandering around old fantasy JRPG worlds while making it. Those quiet moments where you're just exploring, finding weird creatures, collecting ingredients, and cooking something rare. Little side activities that somehow end up being the parts you remember the most.
Part of why I made this was curiosity and world building. I wanted to see if you could push AI video past single clips and actually build a small narrative world what a character would do and what they'd eat.
Each scene ends up slightly surreal, which fits the fantasy vibe.
After assembling the final edit, I inscribed the video on Bitcoinsv as an ordinal so the piece exists as a permanent artifact of this moment in AI filmmaking.
