that link sends me to app.treechat (which is why i asked if the feature is specfific to the app).
anyway i can't perform the action to post the thread to twitter from there either.

ah... i thought you meant like the mobile app... it should work if you sign in through app.treechat.com the issue is that you're switching domains when you follow that quoted message (we will fix this but for now just sign in at app.treechat.com) but to make the "tweet thread" option appear you have to go to settings (click on avatar icon top right -> settings icon -> scroll down to "twitter integration" and go through that flow. sorry for making you jump through hoops
