How can Twetch make us chat more?

I’m terrible at conversions but I love reading them.

Threads that persist and capture our attention.

Maybe increase the micro-payout after a certain number on comments on a twetch? Hmm. I’ve been thinking about this too. I see a lot of short conversations and statements, but less depth and discussion.

Twetch ·

No, not terrible at all. You start good convos and have creative ideas. Hashtags and such help with subject searching, so maybe people could more easily find existing discussions to build on.

I’m also curious if we’ll gradually see some sort of evolution in social media here, as we can’t really move the old economic model over to bitcoin/twetch & expect the same interactions. This is a such a unique social experiment!

I notice w/Twitter, where it’s free to interact, much of the interactions are wise cracks, jokes, trolling, time wasting. Once we have to pay to interact, we’re all more careful. It takes more thought. Maybe we all were just wasting too much time before?

What is more important, making individuals chat more or getting more people available to chat? There are ways to provoke chatting but to what end?

Twetch ·

Probably goes hand in hand, more people available to chat creates more chatting because the diversity of topics increase and the number of people interested in each topic is up too. A lot of bitcoin enthusiasts here, but other connections are important.

What if a thread here could age here like a message board with 100+ pages?

Twetch ·

Forking threads to take take conversions in new directions.

Nice! Building/following a thread for many years and looking back on how the idea had evolved over time (researchers dream!). Or following public opinion flows in/out of popularity. I wonder if after worldwide bitcoin, socialism ever becomes trendy again.
