I wonder if it is hoarding if you plan to eat it? Why did hoarding become a bad word or if it was negative word why is that word chosen to describe being prepared and keeping a pantry stocked

Its not hoarding if you plan to eat it. But what about hoarding 12 months and above worth of food? And what about those who didn't managed to hoard?
Is it more efficient (less chaotic) if some system/organization centralised to distribute rations? 🤔

Definitely can be efficient for governments to do this for a variety of circumstances. That shouldn't stop the prudent person from preparing themselves. Can't always trust your government to deliver. thinking about those full warehouses in Puerto Rico
