Hey @2912 I've seen a lot of your content about COVID-19. You seem informed, but I can tell we get our news from different sources. What's your take on the situation, and what would you suggest as a solution?

And since we are only flattening the curve and not actually preventing infection of the population, the rest of the population can develop herd immunity. Isolation can then be dropped for everyone.
I certainly don't have a solution, something like this can only be mitigated. I would isolate all vulnerable individuals, not the entire population, i.e. People above the age of 65, heart disease, chronic lung disease, and other serious commodities.
This full shutdown may end up causing many deaths on its own. Poverty kills. Lost jobs that will be very hard to replace. Wait till the defaults start rolling in. It will be very hard to recover from the coming insolvency.
