The UI responsiveness is a bit clunky at times, but other than that the UI is very nice.

which parts were clunky?

For instance, in this thread, or any thread like it: scrolling down has the last reply at the very bottom of the page. It'd be nice if when scrolling down there was some white space.

next: sometimes when deep into a thread, scrolled all the way down, and pressing the reply button, the page jumps up. i then have to scroll back down to write my reply
