is it a hard fork or a soft fork that they have to do? Why bother if everything is going to over taken by Bsv. They should just leave it so we could tell the hard core difference in performance and capability

CTV and CSFS repurpose OP_NOP opcodes, making them backward-compatible as a soft fork. In my opinion, observing what other chains are doing - whether it’s larger blocks, on-chain data, data protocols, or other innovations- helps determine which chain best aligns with your goals.

I’m not here just for BSV; I’m here for liberty and ownership. For my autonomy and self-sovereignty. My Ego and My Own. BSV aligns well with these values. But other things could help also.

in a simple understating to me, this is a way of BTC core saying we f@&k up and we were wrong and we want to compete and our plan to derail/destroy btc did not work and we want to be part of something please don't forget us. Like the bully asking "why do you guys hate me" after he kicked you in the nuts or ovaries. GregM i 100% agree on your view on why your here, good thing we all have options and the free will to choose so far. Onwards and upwards my friend. Tick tock BTC tick tock..

Nobody uses BTC anyways. What will "LN-symmetry" improve when basically nobody uses LN anyways, and most of the wallets are completely custodial. The whole thing is a hoax. It just seems like playing violins on the sinking titanic. It is just about the con-game to pretend they are smart and innovative, when in reality BTC is used for nothing except storing coins on crimebase.

Wow, you guys are very optimistic... I like it, but I think we shouldn't underestimate the "enemy."
I guess we agree that what they're looking for is a "Bitcoin" under their control... that's why they're desperately trying to move traffic to that new chain where the real traffic would be carried and easily manipulated. They really don't care if it's LN, Liquid, or any other L2 or even a completly new chain like Solana.
Whether it's CTV+CFSF or sighasAnyPrevOut, the signature would be decoupled from the output on L1. It's sweeping traceability under the rug, and without traceability, there's no proof of a crime.
Normal people prefer a custodial account to one where you're the only one responsible. At least, many will... and they can't be prevented from exercising their freedom.
