Greek philosopher, such as Solon, Pythagoras, Plato, Socrates.....study as initiates of the hidden school for 20 years. They study music, geometry, astronomy, mathematics ect. The schools were secret and were only for the enlightened.

really wish i like history more at school if it was taught like this i think i would have enjoyed it. started reading about Eratosthenes of Cyrene lately. i like him.
Yeah school wasn't all bad. Definitely big pieces missing from history books.
