Greed is one of two things:
1) "You make money and I don't like it, so you're greedy!"
or...
2) The unwise pursuit of material wealth, usually at the expense of other things of value such as familial and platonic relationships.

If your greed falls under the second category, it is a poor reflection on you as you are not living a full, balanced life. You are missing out on many things, probably because of a misconception that money or things will make you happy.
If your "greed" falls under the first category, it is a poor reflection on the individual calling you greedy, as they are allowing their envy to direct their attention and energies towards negative interactions.
Notice, the pursuit and acquisition of material wealth is not a bad thing - in fact, it is a good thing. What is bad is if it is done out of balance with other things in your life.
There is such thing as a wise pursuit of material wealth.
