Got pulled over last night bc my license plate light had burned out. Officer wanted to bring k9 to search. I repeatedly said no. When asked why i wouldnt let them search...i told him this is Merica. He said he liked that answer and went to his car and left

Fascinating 4th Amendment scenario. Reasonable suspicion & probable cause intertwined.
Burned out license plate light = weak but legal reason 2 pull someone over.
A K-9 search can result in “fruit of the poisonous tree” & big LEO judicial admonishments! 👀

I put my wifi as fbi surveillance van #37 ... within 15 mins, an unmarked car rolled up, buddy hopped out and started taking photos, notes, examining etc.. 😅
