Going to start logging my days spent coding and working out…

Going to start logging my days spent coding and working out, try to get 100 days in a row. Need to code for minimum of an hour. My minimum workout is 50 pushups, strict form (I've got other normal workouts). Do that, and I post it to Twetch.

Day 4. Full workout. Coding: trying to reorganize the JS code for my Fitness Log app. After pushing code to github, I broke/rewrote the code... not too successfully. So far I'm keeping with my goal of working out and coding every day. Consistency first.

Day 5. Another good workout. Lots of coding, re-organized my Fitness Log app. This is my version of 100 Days of Code, except instead of posting to Twitter (what's twitter?), recording my progress on-chain as a real incentive to continue. So far so good 🤙

Day 6. Did my "minimum" workout, basically a warmup and 50 pushups. Better than nothing, and the goal is to workout every day, consistently. Coding: reviewed JS objects, constructors, 'this', and prototypes. Continued working on my Fitness Log app.

Day 7. Busy day, so I only did my minimum workout (50 pushups). Good to have a micro-workout that counts toward my goal, since my priority is to consistently work out every day. Coding: worked on my Fitness App (simple JS project) for over an hour.

Day 8. Full workout. Coding: spent a few hours going through tutorials on ES6 Classes and object prototypes. Reading 'The Obstacle is the Way'... going to continue reading about Stoic philosophy, perhaps every day as another daily habit.

Day 9. Worked out. Coded for an hour. Wasn't really feeling it today. But, even still, met the goal. Consistently working out and coding every day. Looking forward to a stronger effort tomorrow.

Day 10. Full workout. Coding: spent around 8 hours working on my Fitness Log app. Got a basic, finished app that I'm happy with (but will modify over the coming weeks). No drinking: going to add that in my daily update, since I need to completely stop.

Day 11. Full workout. Coding: practiced JavaScript and DOM manipulation using a Codecademy tutorial for over an hour, just an easy practice day. No drinking. Feeling very positive, I think this approach of using Twetch to post my progress is working.

Day 12. Just a quick, minimal workout. All good. Coding: lots of coding. Spent about five hours going through some JS lessons. No drinking. Another step in the right direction.

Day 13. Quick workout, better than nothing, but tomorrow I'm looking forward to a real workout. Coding: worked with API requests. Updated a "Twetch Reader" app that pulls Twetch posts by User ID, using bitquery. No drinking.

Day 14. Worked out and coded. Not my best day at either, but just need to keep pushing through. Continuing to work on API requests, using fetch, as well as arrow functions. It's going to be a grind to get used to the syntax, but just need to keep at it.

Day 15. Excellent workout. Lots of coding. Worked for hours on API calls and understanding 'fetch' with async/await. Getting a handle on it. Many possibilities are opening up. Also started working on a small Money Button project. So much to do each day.

Twetch ·

Day 16. Good workout. Huge day of coding. Working with APIs and writing to Twetch. No drinking. Another good day.

Day 17. OK workout, felt low-motivation. Still, got the minimum done, at least. Pretty good day of coding, starting to design some apps that can use the Twetch API, which is awesome.

do you have menstrual pains yet?

/trolltoll set @7346 $0.50 let's see if this works

Day 18. Good workout, good day of coding. Building another twetch-reader app to practice working with the API. Pretty cool working with GraphQL. I had used it a few months ago, but completely forgot everything.

What are you a twat? Stop being such a sensitive pussy 🐱

Twetch ·

He’s neither. You’re being unreasonably rude and negative. Chill

Twetch ·

Are you a meme also?

Twetch ·

Yes, I am a meme.

Twetch ·

haha, yeah no problem, I had been meaning to try the trolltoll feature, almost forgot about it. Cheers!

Twetch ·

Not sensitive, just wanted to try it out and see if it works, seemed like a good opportunity. /trolltoll set @11255 $1

Day 19. OK workout. Lots of coding. Built a weather app using the OpenWeatherMap API. Will try to work with the WeatherSV API soon. Think I'll have a beer and figure out my next few projects.

Twetch ·

Day 20. Very good workout. Coding: reviewed try/catch, ES6 maps and sets.

Twetch ·

Day 21. Excellent workout. Coding: following Brad Traversy's Udemy course "20 Projects using Vanilla JavaScript", built a form-validator. Good project. So much to learn, only way is to be consistent and work every day.

Twetch ·

Day 22. Good workout. Continued with tutorial and built a movie-seat selector app, learned a lot. After writing the code, I'm breaking it down by memory to figure out what I did and how to best approach my own projects.

Twetch ·

Day 23. Increasing minimum daily workout to 75 pushups, only takes a few minutes. Good workout today. Building a new app from scratch, writing all CSS without any frameworks is time-consuming but good for learning.

Twetch ·

Day 24. Good workout, 100 pushups, 200 kettlebell swings, plus other exercises. Coding: continuing with tutorials. Started a node.js crash course. Still working on simple projects using vanilla JS.

Twetch ·

Day 25. A quarter of the way to 100-day mark. Good workout, some basic coding review today. Nothing too exciting, kind of got sidetracked thinking about what coding project to work on. Picking up a bit of node.js, so that's good.

Twetch ·

Day 26. Almost forgot to post. Good workout. Built a nice website, deployed to Netlify. Very cool.

Twetch ·

Day 27. Almost forgot to post again. Good workout. Lots of coding from scratch, building a small website. Learning quite a bit about flexbox.

Twetch ·

Day 28. Quick workout (75 push-ups). Altering my workout schedule a bit, starting tomorrow, to take things to a higher level. Alarm is set for 5 a.m. to start workout. Coding: learned about the module pattern with JS. Confusing, but will keep with it.

Twetch ·

Day 29. Woke up at 5 a.m. to workout, felt really good. Coding: continuing to learn about the JS module pattern. I can understand why it's an incredibly useful approach to code. Will need lots of practice. Following a tutorial for now.

Day 30 & 31. Long day yesterday, forgot to post. Good workouts and coding yesterday and today. I'm going to stop posting my daily progress, no need to go to 100 days. The habits have been formed: I workout every day and I code every day. Done deal.
