Going to start implementing mind maps to learn better. I’m thinking 30-60 minute sessions of a particular topic, drawing the mind map as I go for reference, then try to teach the material as succinctly as possible, fill in gaps as I go.

I’m thinking this is the way to go. Just means I’ll have to force myself to schedule my time more efficiently, instead of the compulsive bursts I seem to be attracted to. I imagine ADHD can be more manageable sans-medication this way.
I used to be able to read or hear, retain, and output a lot better. That skill has dwindled in me over time, especially as I’ve quit talking about what’s on my mind as much.
30 years of being drug around by my obsessive mind, maybe with the break in intensity following the quantum gravity explanation, I have a chance to rewrite my brain to be a better servant rather than master, eh?

After writing this, I’m wondering if this is some of the methodology used by @1494 in learning and building on topics of his interest. Perhaps the threads started out as a component of the teaching piece and have grown to be something more?
