Given that the value of money is future production, and given that Boost is provably spent energy, every time someone uses it, Bitcoin is less valuable because that energy could have been used to produce something. That's why you should be interested.

Doesn't it make bitcoin more valuable by reducing the economy's entropy?
The entropy of the universe is increased. The entropy of the message is decreased because it has fewer alternate states for the number of bits. However it only makes Bitcoin more valuable if you say something good enough to offset the spent energy.
