I really am getting tired of audio industry folk saying theres nothing to the digital vs analog debate, if youve ever heard old music systems back in the day with no digital whatsoever from the performace in studio, the recording, production and playback.
Zero digital. Nish, none whatsoever in any aspect of the music experience and you dont want to just hear that sound again .
Im talking live performances like kool herc when he first Deejayed live and very early live reggae.
No digital in the entire journey from studio performance where the instruments were full analog ,microphones even early analog drum machines , analog keyboards, valve amps, analog speakers to recording on magnetic tape to live playback on vynal and once again
More than full analog console path, im talking full analog journey from inception to the sound entering your ears whether it be on cassete, vinyl , live performance, those who really think digital elements in the journey are better wonderful.
But people like me that never ever went to a rave, missed this analog live experience kos we werent old enough have a valid yerning to experience these expetiences, lucky i got to hear this full analog experience back in the day via tv, radio, tape and vinyl, just never live.
Gassbaging sesh over, i will obtain a valve amp, old analog speakers , the lot and get old old vinyal and hear it once again.
And dont tell me a 2000 dollar mobile phone listening to youtube is even remotely close to iawa walkman casstete even though the walkman surely had digital interuptions in the analog path.
And dont tell me an analog data signal is just the same as dital can be interupted converted back and forth, if you think that your missing my entire point, its way way more than data its a spiritual experience and more from start to finish from some of us and we just have a deep need yearning to experience it.
