Genesis 1 and 2 are 2 different creation stories... Genesis 1 is pre-Adamic man being created by the “elohim” or “gods”. Genesis 2 is Adam being created by THE LORD GOD, EL SHADDAI, YAHUAH, Most High El, from who the savior would be descended.

Which would explain why Cain was scared of other people harming him when he was banished. When I was young I never understood where the other people came from.
