Not sure if that is a positive development, but I already had the same thought.
I think it would be great if porn actresses/actors reaped the real benefits of what they do instead of seedy producers and middlemen. Proof of work wins always. How would you see it as a negative development?
Already happening massively - largest problem is piracy of videos. Sex workers doing cam shows have probably benefited as much as anyone from bitcoin.
DRM is hard.
If you can watch it, you can copy it.
So embedded in that idea is probably an inference of per-frame(s) transactions, and with that comes the need for a ‘thick client’ that can be ‘trusted’ to decrypt the data and somehow disallow (or otherwise disincentivize) copying.
This makes me wonder what Kim Dotcom is up to..
