I have a friend for 25 years. Over the last 3 years he became more susceptible to conspiracy theories. Last few times I've seen him I've told him I'm not interested but he always tries to steer conversation back.

I have to let him go, but it makes me sad.

I lost a friend this way. You could try to make him see it as a form of entertainment. And emphasize how extraordinary claims demand extraordinary evidence. It's a sad thing to see, hope you don't lose a friend

It is always important to evaluate if entertaining & spending time on theories improves your life

Very often you realize that they have 0 or negative impact to your life, even long term

Yes I have been round this multiple times. I have been very patient with him up to this point, but he just won't let it go. Shame because he's a funny likeable guy.
