Freedom itself is based on the metaphysical claim of self-ownership. And that's the reason why collectivists, who are atheist materialists, if they are consistent, have no problem whatsoever with coercion and the violation of (property) rights. They don't believe in private property. And why would they? Trying to make a collectivist believe in private property and individual rights is the exact same thing as trying to get an atheist to believe in God.
