It's my understanding that songs generated while using a free account stay non-commercial even if you upgrade to a paid account. The workaround for this is to "extend" a song, or do some other generative edit, after you become a paid member, that way you can have commercial-use rights to the song.

Yeah You are right about that. I made like over 500 songs on my free account in less than six months and most are garbage but now I know how to use prompts better and don't mind losing old stuff and starting from scratch.
