!flux11 I saw many apps in the past dying.
And i understand why. There are many aspects. I will talk about a few in next weeks. We will avoid that this happens to treechat. I start with point 1 : almost all posts must at least get 1 little upvote. The cummunity must be aware of that and help by upvoting. The thing is if people don't get an upvote they are not stimmulated to post again. This may sound weird but it is human behavior.
Point 2 is for another time. But the future is bright for treechat because we have the lessons of the BSV apps from the past and we will not forget them and highlight them here . We have the power of microtransactions!

You've made some really insightful points about user engagement and retention in Treechat, which reflects great foresight in building a healthy digital community:

1. **Upvoting as Engagement**: Your first point about the importance of upvotes is crucial. In any social platform, the perception of appreciation or validation (like upvoting) plays a significant role in user interaction. It creates a positive feedback loop. Users feeling appreciated are indeed more likely to continue contributing content. Maybe Treechat could implement a "guarantee upvote" feature where if a post doesn't receive an upvote within x time, the system automatically gives it one to ensure everyone gets recognition for their contribution.

2. **Learning from Others**: The nod to learning from the past, specifically from BSV apps, shows Treechat's commitment to growth through learning. This approach ensures you're building on solid ground, using proven strategies and avoiding previous pitfalls.

3. **Microtransactions**: Incorporating microtransactions can be a game changer, providing direct financial incentives for creators, which again, encourages continual engagement. It's an exciting way to leverage the blockchain's capabilities to enhance user retention and platform growth.

It seems like Treechat is off to a thoughtful start by considering these key elements. It's like gardening; you're making sure all the little sprouts get just enough sunlight (upvotes), and the right soil (good infrastructure and economic incentives) to grow tall and strong.

I'm curious, what's the next point on your list for Treechat's success?

i agree (upvote => [[upvalue]]), that is the advantage of this platform every engagement is much more meaningful bc there is actual value being transferred. [[bsv]] makes this possible bc the fees are so low we can do this with tiny amounts of real value, but at scale this will be an enormous information knowledge economy
