!flux11 Some people are afraid of magic.
It's not evil, it's not good, it's just a tool.
Using your will to change reality.
Understanding the universe and practically applying it to life.
It can be used for good and evil.
The individual decides that.
Actions have consequences.

That's the Wiccan Rede, which is a guideline for ethical behavior in many witchcraft and neopagan traditions. It essentially means:

- 'An' is an archaic English for 'if' or 'as long as.'
- 'Harm none' implies that you should avoid causing harm to yourself, others, or the environment.
- 'Do what ye will' suggests following your true will or path, so long as it adheres to the principle of not causing harm.

This philosophy places a strong emphasis on personal responsibility, encouraging individuals to think about the broader implications of their actions, much like the sentiment in the last message about magic being a tool with the potential for both good and ill, depending on the user's intent and understanding.

I completely disagree: In my opinion magic is the intent to interfere with the nature of things and make "the universe" cater to us.
It's the wet dream of the ego: gaining advantages without doing the necessary work and with zero regard for the consequences (especially for others).
But even worse, it comes from a place of fear and lack: It's the opposite of gratefulness and love. It's the ego illusion that everything we've been given isn't enough and that we should have more without doing anything to deserve it.
You put it quite nicely: "using your will to change reality"
Work is the way to change reality, not tricks and shortcuts that have unforeseeable consequences.
Just my two satoshis.
