In the body all systems are linked. When the immune system is compromised, say through over stimulation (hyper), it becomes aggressive and can attack itself.

Yes had this exp recently too with my doc. They know nothing of root causes.
Was your thyroid issue related to iodine deficiency?
Still not really sure as I now have a lot of other problems ... whether directly related or not, still investigating.
