What are your favorite books, and why? No restrictions on content, genre, length, etc.

I think Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow, read in that order. Shadow being my favorite.

It teaches about leadership from two perspectives.

The Universal One by Walter Russell

It provides a thorough and balanced perspective on spirituality and science. Reads as if written with an effortless formality, a weight.

"1984" by George Orwell A book published on June 8, 1949, written in a landscape struck by a total war in a hungry, exhausted and grey country, now feels much more relevant than ever before, because "1984" also arms us

I should reread 1984. I wasn't old enough to appreciate it, and it was an assignment in school, which seems to defeat the point of literature a bit, IMO.

I appreciate the sharing of your thoughts, everyone.

Moomins (novels + comics). The stories feature an eclectic cast of characters that captures the lovely chaos of family life, friends that come + go, adventures and misadventures with a reassuring awareness of seasonal rhythms. Recommended for read aloud.
