They can crack an address with enormous cost, but cracking/stealing, that’s illegal even for govs. And bitcoin is traceable anyways.
More problematical are the sc. burning adresses, like BNB, I mean there’s no guarantee that coins on permissioned network under proof of stake control will stay unspent. That’s the total opposite of verify, don’t trust, but people are buying anyways.
