I wore a mask to a nursing home the other day, was a bad experience and made difficult to sip port with my grandmother, masks have proven to be ineffective IMHO.

You should set a good example to your family, wear a mask at all times, be one of the first to get the vaccine.
Teach them that it's not OK to question authority, even if you think it might be detrimental to your health, just do as you're told!
