Every twetch is onchain, if Twetch the company does something users disagree with, it would be trivial to export your data and import to a competitor.

In theory maybe. But in the real world, it probably won’t be as easy to simply switch. Though provoking though.

Thinking out loud here - what if the competitor is Onchain Follow or Onchain Notifications? Find a users paymail, and follow everything they do onchain. So you would see all their twetches, bitpastes, yours posts in one feed.

You certainly could switch over to a new provider, you own your data. BitCoin allows for many possibilities and is changing the software-as-service model.
