What if my app's users dont have any Bitcoin? Or worse, they dont even know what it is.

By the time most legacy tech firms figure out the viability of this model, they'll find their first-mover advantage has been superseded by battle-hardened competitors ready to eat their lunch.

@568 The prudent thing to do in the current environment would be to build a business that caters to those who already own and use bitcoin.

@1850 yes thats what I thought. My startup has mainstream users though and I cant think any other reason to use Bitcoin besides storing data. Which is not cheaper than today's cloud solutions yet.

Also waiting to see what marketplace models will arise.

Oh for sure @568. It's hard to envision onboarding more traditional businesses at this point - stuff like micropayments for rate-limiting APIs or infra services like UptimeSV feel like the exception to the rule.

Most don't have a clear value prop yet.
