Enlighten why address reuse? Which scenarios?

Easier blockchain forensics without xpub disclosure - I know many exchanges reuse hot wallet addresses for this purpose.

Aside from surveillance or a few UX edge-cases it's hard to envisage a use-case, though.

Most of the time it's just lazy or bad code, though.
