I think what you’re describing is real, but I wouldn’t call it a “token” in the usual technical sense.
When I tip BSV, it doesn’t feel like I’m just sending money, and it’s clearly not the same as clicking a like button. A like costs nothing and risks nothing. A tip does. To be able to send it, I had to exchange something real before — time, work, or physical resources. That personal exchange history is part of the value, even if the receiver can’t see it.
So the value isn’t only in the BSV itself. It’s in the decision to use it.
The tip becomes a way of saying: this was worth something to me, not just I agree.
Because BSV is decentralized, that value isn’t defined by the system or by a platform. Each person has to decide for themselves how much it’s worth to them to participate, to respond, or to support something. In that sense, it’s less a new “token” and more a new way of assigning value through real cost and intent.

You've probably been thinking about and practicing "value" longer and more deeply than I have. Your conversation has an energy that brings out something new in me. I'm even thinking about making it a topic for discussion in the space we hold at X every morning.
Now, what name, other than "token," should we give to the "new way of assigning value through actual cost and intention" you mentioned at the end of your statement?
