Very in depth meetup this episode. Id like to share my skepticism about whats on chain as it stands now being foundational in future BSV work. Not even whats on chain necesarily , but how people are designing their projects.
Its like like , think of the blockchain as being all the data going through the internet. Its not like that but bare with me if you can. And oh ill just get whats on chain to find me what i need from one year ago .
And now with block size increasing and set to increase even more .
I dont know how many people have checked what i did to have this view. Apparently when designing BSV projects, you need to be really proactive in organizing and making sure what you are building does not need to resort to scaning the whole blockchain or even resorting to whats on chain for your foundational processes for your ap or whatever.
All the relevent stuff you need from the blockchain needs to be organized in advance and you need to design who gets what where when how and why.
Pretty lame explanation but i think ill forever be a student of this.

Yes subsets of the blockchain, propogate directly,
The way i see this is lets say tokens, nfts, a lot of stuff.
Everything to do with your project can be tagged as in utxos? And yes its meant to be peer to peer.
But in the early stages of blockchain development. Not everything is peer to peer. And as long as it works and scaling limits aknowledged and accounted for as in the whole ap might need to be put offline and rebuilt in a year.
As in i do believe subsets of the blockchain is a very key phrase.
I dont think their even is a hard and fast rule as to how one manages the utxos relevent to their work.
Why would one need to implement whats on chain , when you have a spv complete database of all the tagged activity ever to do with your work as part of your infrastructure. Damn well out of my league here. Off chance a couple of people might have a vage idea what i getting at. I think the BSV updated audio explains this well, but i think some people are revisiting the back to genisis thingo. I thought that was well and truely solved.
