The easy answer is nuclear power, but for some reason much of the green left is against it including the Germans who are firing up old coal plants to backup their renewable infrastructure and make up for gas shortfalls bc they've been shutting nuclear plants

for some reason? b/c we don't yet have any serious plan for long-term waste storage, that's one of the main reasons, also they're still dangerous, also you could learn from this latest war how they're a tactical vulnerability,,,,,, i mean there are plans & ideas for future reactors that'd be less dangerous than the ones we were protesting, so maybe present it that way, that we could reach an agreement on a future safer technology, rather than just pretending that there was no sense to protesting what were in fact incredibly dangerous unsustainable expensive silly useless facilities

check out the safety stats on nuclear... safest energy producing tech by far. nuclear waste is extremely easy to store. it is a non-issue. it is a solid waste, which is containerized. compare this to coal power waste which is very hard and expensive to contain and kills many orders of magnitude more people... yet Germans and Californians and others build coal to backup unreliable solar

if Germany or Cali invested their renewable budget into nuclear over the past decades they would be carbon free right now
