[[Dreams]] This is kind of long but I enjoyed writing down all the descriptive details. I've been an aware dreamer for decades (just meaning I pay attention to them, use them for my own growth and sometimes write them down if they feel important). I imagine dreams could be used for fiction-writing as well.
In my dream last night, I was embarking on a trip, and for some reason I had to ride on a strange aerial contraption. At first, I thought I was going to get a ride in a real helicopter, but then it turned out this was the actual ride. It was rectangular, wooden, not very large, just big enough to hold two adults. The U-shaped metal handlebar was attached to the short side at the front of the rectangle, so you held on at the top of the U. The whole thing felt very makeshift, like someone had built it in their garage. The motor was strapped to the bottom, a few wires dangled loose, and the wooden planks looked like scrap pieces nailed together.
We were on a hill before takeoff. A man was there to guide the trip, and I had to hop on behind him and hold on. Before we lifted off, he looked at me and asked, “How do you feel?” I told him, “I’m really scared,” but I climbed on anyway; it seemed like there wasn’t a choice. Then we were riding through the sky. It was a wild feeling, and we kept going for a while until, all of a sudden, a straggler hopped on the back. He was a man with long dark hair tied in a ponytail. He wasn’t supposed to be with us, but he clung on anyway.
As we flew, he wrapped his arms around me for balance and leaned in, resting his head on my shoulder. For a moment, it felt oddly comforting, even nice. At the same time, I didn’t know what his real purpose was, and that uncertainty made the closeness feel strange.
Eventually, the guide said to me, “We need to get him off here. I need to land this down there.” He pointed below as we began to descend into a crater-like Amazonian forest. As we got closer, the sight was overwhelming. Everywhere was green. Hills covered in thick trees and heavy bushes, rising and rolling in every direction. The density was so intense it looked like a wall of green, and I could almost feel the heat coming off it as we approached. It was lush and alive, and I was struck by how amazing it looked, like we were about to plunge straight into another world.
We landed safely and hopped off. On my left, up a hilly or mountainous slope, I saw several little animals. They looked a bit like monkeys, but with round bellies and smaller round heads. They were very funny looking.
I realized they were trying to communicate with me, and then one of them said, “We know how to talk your language.” They started speaking to me. I can’t remember what they said. It wasn’t an important part of the dream. What mattered was simply that they could talk.
Then I heard another voice. I turned around, and it was a very large tree speaking to me. It looked like an oak tree, standing right in the middle of this dense, Amazonian-looking forest.
It ended abruptly. It was rich with insight for me.

Crazy amount of detail, the dreams have messages sometimes a bit inverted at least for me
