If I dont receive any (or very few) likes on my Twetches I am not going to like any Twetches.
I will also limit the amount of replies I make.
Does this not mean that the minority with the deep pockets or famous twetchers decide what should be popular?

In a social network, don't you want to maximize engagement?
Because the more stats you have the more likely you are to bring to the top of the feed the right post?
Just a few thoughts why I think the cost of Twetches should decrease.
At scale, quality content means different things to different people.
This means you need a way to show the right post to the right person.
