I don't want to defend Pam Bondi, Kash Patel or Dan Bongino, but there are two possibilities here:

Either they were always gonna try and contain the Epstein operation, or someone with quite amazing power talked to them and made them understand that it is very unhealthy for them and their loved ones to keep going that direction.

Who can say that they could and would resist an extremely credible threat?
