■ Distrust of Hometown
By Dr.Lee Yang Hee
:The hometown where you grew up keeps in your heart the warm atmosphere and people who are friendly, affectionate, and embrace you.
In particular, when you return to your hometown where your family, relatives, old natural scenery, and old house remain, the nerves that were tense from your daily life in a foreign land are relieved, and you feel happy and truly find your true home as everyone opens their hearts and treats you warmly.
Perhaps this warm exchange of hearts with your hometown people is because they confirm and trust each other's similarities and have a vague sense of intimacy in their hearts. Therefore, for those who have difficulty adapting to the foreign customs and way of thinking and have been stuck in a foreign land, their hometown is truly a paradise on earth.
However, in the case of people who have lived in a foreign land for a long time and have learned and become accustomed to a new lifestyle and different philosophy, they feel happy for a while when they return to their hometown, but when each person returns to their normal daily life, the dissonance from the difference in consciousness often increases the stress on their mind.
So, in the end, the warmth of hometown is not a friendly treatment that comes from understanding and respecting each other's personality and character, but a trust and intimacy based on the homogeneity of having shared the same environment during birth and growth.
That is why great leaders with exceptionally high personalities are usually not recognized in their hometown. The reason is first, just as a child cannot fathom the heart of an adult, ordinary people cannot fathom the heart of an acquaintance at all. Second, ordinary people think that their hometown friends have the same homogeneity as them, so they are not particularly Because they think there is nothing else. Therefore, for the same reason, the servility ideology is widespread among the low-level masses.
The servility ideology is a childish and contradictory consciousness in which a fool thinks that everyone around him is as foolish as he is, while people in distant places that he does not know are far more capable. However, in fact, although the human nature that is formed postnatally among humans on Earth shows many differences depending on race and cultural environment, innate qualities are distributed almost similarly in all human societies.
Therefore, in all human societies such as a village, a region, and a country, people with very different mental ages are born together, and in some regions, there are people with high mental ages at the leadership level, while others with low mental ages live together. However, after birth, each person is born into a different cultural environment, so they form a characteristic conscious structure for that region depending on the cultural environment they are exposed to. And among them, a very small number of people with very high mental age break the conventional wisdom of that society and spread new information of a higher level that has not been seen in the culture up to now.
This is the process of development of human culture.
Therefore, if we look at the level of consciousness and the structure of consciousness of adults in various countries around the world, we can see that the higher the cultural level, the more people in the country have a higher level of consciousness and a more rational structure of consciousness. However, if children from various countries around the world are gathered together and the same education is provided, there is not much difference in qualifications by nationality or race, but only a difference in individual capabilities.
Therefore, in recent years when international exchanges are frequent, high-level people are born in various countries regardless of nationality or race. Moreover, recently, our country has opened its doors to the world wide, and how many young people go to advanced countries around the world to study? Of course, advanced not everyone who goes to the country to study acquires great abilities. However, those who are naturally gifted can fully develop their potential without any limitations.
Even those who have acquired great knowledge and accumulated great virtues in this way may be welcomed by their hometown people as their own kindred spirits when they return, but it is impossible to expect them to understand and respect their high level of information and recognize their abilities beyond their physical age. In many cases, the hearts of the hometown people will be at ease only when they become jealous and slanderous, just like the saying that a cousin gets a stomachache when he buys land, and when they fall into the same kind of homogeneity as themselves.
I often see many capable people who are sacrificed to this sinful distrust of their hometown, not just a crime, but rather a common social phenomenon. The victims are not necessarily those who went t…
