Disagree with this take. 1776 and 1860 and to a lesser degree 1930s were all similar on measures such as income inequality, immigrant population, falling life expectancy, stagnant wages, elite overproduction and so on.

The normies don't matter for a civil war. They might not participate at all. They will vote for the "FDR" if that's how it gets settled and they probably won't participate in violence if war erupts, though they could be victims of it.
