Attaching images to a post on iOS crashes the app as soon as the camera roll is opened

I don’t know what most of the buttons with icons but without text labels do. And I’m afraid it costs me money to press them to find out so I’m reluctant to try.
Adding attachments, images / files seems something I would use a lot more than the ai? buttons, but in the ux the attachment buttons are deemphasized to the ai? buttons.

the reply and the post button almost overlap on mobile and are styled the same. When I have a reply text input open I’m not going to start a new post. Also I would expect the submit button text to be ‘send’ or ‘post’ not ‘reply’. Reply makes me think I’m opening a new empty window.

The mobile ui would be cleaner if the bottom bar scrolls out when I scroll down and scrolls back in when I scroll up

selecting text on mobile is almost impossible because it swipes to another feed. When I give focus to a text input I expect the horizontal swiping to be turned off. It means I’m editing text, not switching feeds

Text has hyphenation, I think this is a bad idea, hyphenation is good for print media not for text read on screens unless it’s an ebook

The x bio text for Treechat ‘play with humans and ai’ sounds quite sinister to me especially if I think about people that don’t know anything about the app yet. ‘Connect with real people without algorithmic censorship’ would sound more appealing to me. AI is just a tool to create, not a user benefit in of itself.

when I share a link to a thread from the Treechat ios app and someone visits it on mobile using the app, they aren't brought to the thread. This is a dealbreaker.

on mobile the icon for attaching a picture is photo camera, on desktop it's a paperclip. On mobile the paperclip also works but does something else.

all this does is overwhelm me and make me want to never open the menu again. just set a good default, and offer max 3 alternatives with good tooltips of when and what to use them for.

So I think I made this thread public, but I'm not sure I did. It took me considerable effort to find the option and I got no visual feedback (toast/sonner?) when I changed it to public.

No idea if this costs me money, so hesitant to use. !flux create a video of a christmas tree with merkle tree like branches, at each level of the merkle tree is a christmas ornament.

honestly can't tell what the difference is between these buttons, and can't figure out by hovering over it. I'll try it later I guess..

I would also like to be able to remove attached images before posting, and add multiple images to a post. I would use both of these features more than ai tools.

the lock (lock by itself) is not the right icon for private. My initial thought was that it means a locked feature or locked wallet. better alternatives: https://thenounproject.com/search/icons/?q=private+chat

keep all bottom bar icons the same color, and make them high contrast (white on black bg, or black on white bg) Use a filled icon for the active tab and outline icons for the non active tabs. X and other battletested apps do this so why deviate.

Okay I wanted to continue this thread but found it really hard to find. fortunately I bookmarked it and found the bookmarks feature after looking for it for a while.

@palmbird upvalued a lot of my messages with 100, sats and while I appreciate the sentiment it led to:
1) my email inbox flooding with notifications
2) my notifications tab flooding with notifications

Neither bring me value.
100 sats is so little value I want to:
1) set a minimum threshold in dollar cents below which I am not notified.

on desktop this icon is at the top left and bottom center of the screen. The icon tells me nothing about what it does, and when I click it it does two different things adding to the confusion.

I logged in with my email in the browser, which means I likely don't want to use the extension because I'm already on treechat, perhaps hide this button under settings if I really want to use the extension.

also the mobile app also shows the extension button. I can't even install it there. Just adds to the confusion.

Export All, "Your export has started". Ok. Export of what? My posts? my coins? my posts + interactions with others?

When do I want to export it and for what purpose?
I feel I'm downloading something but I don't know what or why.

I want to know my posts can be made private again later by toggling a switch before I post. Ideally I can also revoke or grant access for specific treechat users.

In terms of posting my art, I want an option so I can post it so that other users cannot mint it unless I explicitly flip a switch on the post before or after posting.

this a lot of good feedback some of which I agree with but never would have thought of unless someone pointed it out.

alot of these points I could write a paragraph and explain what they all do, but I agree with you about simplicity and making things easier for the user to understand. like the drop down menus for some of the ai tools, there's just too many so it deters people from that functuon

I primarily use the mobile app (in fact I pretty much exclusively use it just as its a lot more convenient) be interesting to see if some of these get implemented and how it evolves

thank you for your comment. I prefer to give candid feedback instead of add window dressing. It will just turn the feedback into a wall of text which fewer people read. Also it's up to the reader to discern the quality of the information.
