Developed 2GB blocks but can't develop a node for WIndows or Mac

Why would you run a multi million dollar mining rig on a Windows or a Mac fleet? Linux is far superior for this purpose. Good focus call by the BSV team.

Twetch ·

Windows and Mac are more suited for gaming/working, Linux/Unix is more suited for a server machine. They're not expecting nodes to be inefficient.

Twetch ·

@$loki, Windows and macOS are horrible for working, they don't even have tiling window managers

@twetchapp when block button lol

Twetch ·

Can't? No. They can. They choose not to, because resources are scarce and they are focusing on more important things.

Besides, as others have said, it really doesn't add much value to put it on Win or Mac.

Twetch ·

if you don’t have the resources to develop your own you probably don’t have the resources to run a full node

And if you did, you wouldn’t

I don't have permissions to submit code to this centralised blockchain and the code doesn't compile in its current state on other OS. Nodes help decentralization I'm not talking about running a mining right.

Twetch ·

your argument for decentralization is uninformed. Satoshi said somewhere between 2009 and 2011 that miners would end up as datacenters owned by a few capable competing entities. He keeps saying it nowadays. Open your mind and wake up.

Twetch ·

If you think about it a bit, you don't need satoshi to explain that when entities compete in a system, optimization and survival of the fittest will eventually lead to the 5 to 1% winning and prospering.

help yourself, others have no need to help you.
