How would you design a game, that it is able to surprise even you, the creator, when you play it?
Even though you would know every little detail?
How could you get rid of of this knowledge or what hack can you implement to have at least a certain degree of "not knowing" and therefore "surprise"?

Steffenkd, I have a theory on how this could be done, but, I'm not sure how this would be implemented.



Most systems, games and rules people design are invented based on order and balance. Because this is mostly how our minds work, it's hard to imagine anything else.


What if you could design a game with its systems based upon ideas of chaos and imbalance?

If there is no order, how could we know what to expect next?

Without balance, you could never get comfortable.


How this could be done, I'm not sure about that, but I figured it was an interesting thought.

Just randomize everything every time You start a new game. Random level design,random monster spawn,random rewards spawn. Random chaos is the answer
