I decided to sit down and do some work on Bitvault and am happy to say that progress is going good! Got balance getting working, and next will be improving the UI slightly, before adding ordinals support. I'll need to make the wallet UI look nicer and I'll need to add something saying that your transactions are syncing, since it is an SPV wallet. Syncing is a bit slow and has caused it to freeze on the blocks syncing page during testing so I'll change it to only show that page once, when it is syncing from scratch.
