Decentralized application or Dapp is really a false marketing. An application is always created for a purpose to provide service to consumers owned by a business. It could never be decentralized such as IDEX tried to claim it was decentralized.

Bitcoin wasn't about decentralized application, it was about paying miners a fee to own the rights to blockchain space and its contents. Decentralized nature of the nodes is just a method to provide immutability. Bitcoin was a tool to facilitate trade.
