over a decade and we still haven’t managed to create enough demand for onchain transactions to compensate for the subsidy halving
quite embarrassing if you ask me

It would probably be different if HODL wasn't promoted for 9 of those 10 years.
Since when did it become our goal to prop up the miners' businesses?
It’s easy to convince yourself the reason is beyond your control but that’s not how you make progress.
Correct. but think of all the "could have been developers" that may have found their potential if the HODL mentality was not present. For years the only development i saw was some new wallets. wallets are not utility.
I don’t care about miners or others in general. My goal is to make more money which, as an entrepreneur on bitcoin, means my services generate more transactions. Judging by the demand for transactions, I and all others are failing to make more money.
I am not failing. I am succeeding.
What bitcoin service are you running?
