I love this, and I want to preserve it forever on chain. I live on Nottingham’s Fletcher Gate, mentioned early in the video, and the sign for the old Drury Lane, demolished in the 1960’s, must be still there, less than 200 yards from my home.
I will go and search it out tomorrow.
The historic Drury Lane was knocked down in the 1960’s to make way for the Broadmarsh Shopping Centre.
This Shopping Centre has also now been knocked down, and is still being demolished. A small green space with trees has been created, but when the main demolition is completed a modern “Diagnostic’s Hospital” is being built in its place…..
