Few more days then back to online class again. Less time to draw :(

what are you studying?

Twetch ·

Civil Engineering

Twetch ·

is that your passion?

Twetch ·

Nope I don't know what my passiom is yet I like exploring many things and also I have no choice

Twetch ·

if you keep answering, I'll keep asking. why do you have no choice?

Twetch ·

and it sounds like you are passionate about drawing. I haven't looked yet, but I'm going to look at your profile now to see what I think.

Twetch ·

Well I like all kinds of art and creating things. Sure look excuse my flooded branching of tokens 😅 wish twetch had a photo album feature

Twetch ·

can you link a quick drawing here?

Twetch ·

Link some of my vexel styles and here are my recent digital art and also the mediums I already know

Twetch ·

nice work. i found some in your profile after about 20 days ago. That seems about when you went into tokenized primates.

I like the one of Craig. Seems a man of his stature should have a self-portrait in his office somewhere, eh?

Twetch ·

Hahaha is this an interview jk ask anything you want I'll answer it. I have no choice because I passed a scholarship that has a choice of school and course to make it valid. So yeah we needed the money.

Twetch ·

Still curious as to having "no choice" - family constraints? tell me. I'll keep it a secret.

Twetch ·

ok, now we're getting somewhere. do you think you can fit your passion for drawing into civil engineering? And congratulations on your scholarship, I'm sure you worked hard for it.

Twetch ·

Well more like passion for art. Yes, we make plates in CAD. I recently saw a job post that they're looking for a "Sructural Designer" that would fit great for me so I'm going to focus on that job before I graduate.

Twetch ·

drafting can be good money... takes some of the risk off from a professional engineering standpoint. but if you desire to go the PE route (or whatever your country recognizes as the standard for civil engineering).

Twetch ·

Thanks I got lucky in the scholarship 12 of us classmates took the scholarship test and only 3 of us passed

Twetch ·

how'd you get lucky?

Twetch ·

Yeah can also make it at home. I also have a relative her and her husband is a Civil Engineer in abroad and they are planning to take me in the future, so future secured I guess.

Twetch ·

I've always advocated for doing what you love, and the money will follow. I know that's not the case for some. I have a nephew who is an attorney because it was good money. I don't know if he loves it..... or maybe the love of money can supersede passion?

Twetch ·

I don't know just took the test confidently without expecting anything. I surely did not expect that I would pass.

Twetch ·

25 percent of you passed. Not by luck, but by skill I presume. At least if it was smart money in the scholarship. It would not be by chance.

Twetch ·

Well I'm planning to work and make artworks as a sideline. Gonna work hard for my parents and my dogs, and since I'm an only child.

Twetch ·

Well by chance or not. It was worth it. The scholarship really helped us currently we are in need to pay for our house and the scholarship will provide the money.Just gonna work hard to study.Luckily I'm not failing any class because tbh my school sucks 😂

Twetch ·

your school sucks? why?

Twetch ·

Guess you're gonna ask why my school suck. Well they focus on just passing requirement and not really teaching us. We are forced to do self study.

Twetch ·

Worse they accept money just to pass a student in their subject

Twetch ·

yeah, i see what you are saying. they're kind of a "mill". learning styles can differ, some may prefer self-study. But I've always enjoyed instructor-led training.

Twetch ·

how does the school maintain its credibility this way?

Twetch ·

Well I don't know maybe because of the students being top achievers. Last year some of the students got top ranks in the board exam but I didn't see Civil Engineering lol I heard about my seniors that they are suffering from the course.

Twetch ·

Actually we lack Engineering profs they give jobs to profs subjects that are not their specialty

Twetch ·

that's interesting. I remember "paper" certified people in my industry. Ones that studied and passed exams, but had no real practical knowledge of how to implement.

Twetch ·

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_principle

Twetch ·

I think our department doesn't really have a choice for profs either. We reported one of our prof who's not teaching and gets angry at us if we say something about it to him lol worse he's our CAD teacher, and they didn't do any action to change that

Twetch ·

Plus the other sections reported him too. We have 3 sections and we all heve the same profs in engineering related subjects

Twetch ·

Got anymore questions? I would love to answer them

Twetch ·

sure. how'd you get into BSV?

Twetch ·

I saw Twetch website link in an earning group in Facebook. Tried it and the folks are really nice and I was looking for a site like this paying for post and stuff so I stayed. So basically Twetch got me into BSV

Twetch ·

what's an "earning group"?

Twetch ·

Check out https://relica.world/ if you haven't already. It's more instagrammy than Twetch.
But I agree, media album feature would be dope.

Twetch ·

Just groups in Facebook where people recommend earning sites or apps

Twetch ·

air drop earning?

Twetch ·

I think it's cool you are in civil engineering. Maybe you could learn some old school style mechanical drafting for your drawing passion :). If I could handle above middle school level algebra I would probably try to go to school for civil engineering.

Twetch ·

I needed and paid for a tutor to get through calculus. I just hit the math wall eventually and was like, this doesn't make any sense. And maths teacher says "stfu just memorize it"

Twetch ·

Yes, that's the only thing I enjoy doing plates in CAD and on paper the rest will make my brain bleed 😂

Twetch ·

are you a "creative" at heart? do you struggle paying attention to content that is uninteresting?

Twetch ·

Yeah lmao 😂. I remembered solving a complicated and long calculus problem in highschool then my classmate asked the teacher where is the problem gonna be used in real life our teacher said it's used to make flower pots oh wow

Twetch ·

i bet you could design a flower pot in AutoCAD or Fusion360 and not use any of that complicated math. I like math, don't get me wrong. I just hit the wall. I got through it though.

Twetch ·

I saw this sometimes as a bicycle mechanic. It's not uncommon for the mechanics who were apprentices to do better then the ones who went to school for it. Not to say all school is "bad" but sometimes practical experience trumps "paper"

Twetch ·

I remembered one of my highschool teacher who's in masteral in Biology talking about a co-teacher who's also in masteral doing some kind of report and wasn't doing it professionally she thought how'd that guy got into masterals.

Twetch ·

Well they recommend those too. So far I didn't get a single legit air drop in the sites they recommened and some are scams lol. It's basically a group where people find affiliates.
