I liked @pxl272 first-impression critique; it’s very sincere and reflects exactly what you see at first glance.
But it’s very easy to refute or debate; you simply have to point out that one has only scratched the surface and doesn't truly understand us—doesn't get the "donkey" jokes or the power of collection positioning via auto-paid likes. The "donkey" grasped this before anyone else, though he won't be the only one; competition is already arriving. It’s as simple as giving more likes to the collection covers you prefer in order to unseat him.
Let me be honest: someone once told me @Bsvcrypto was a compulsive buyer with mental issues, but I don't see it that way. He’s just another misunderstood soul—like me. I feel misunderstood too, burning through hundreds of dollars every month building the @3dordi platform, just as @metamitya has burned through hundreds creating @treechat . We are simply visionaries ahead of our time, but that time is catching up with us; we’ve been at this for a couple of years now, and people are starting to notice. The products are speaking for themselves rather than us having to do the talking.
The definition of intelligence I like best is the ability to see further into the future than others—like Satoshi Nakamoto did by creating Bitcoin, like @Bsvcrypto does by accumulating iconic collections, like @KURO does by creating interactive art without an apparent dynamic market, and like I do as a collector. You just have to look a little deeper, and you’ll start to understand. Yes, we’re a bit crazy for doing this without thousands of people watching us, and maybe we do need a little therapy—but the kind of therapy that comes from building authentic relationships and telling authentic stories: stories like that of our favorite BSV DJ ( @SMARTWATCH ), our favorite hand-drawn artist on BSV ( @Ziomary ), our favorite BSV comedian ( @4DToken ), and so on.

First impressions are very important as most people decide on the first 30 seconds if they keep digging the app or never check it out again. You can't tell users closing the app "hey you had to just look closer. :("
The other thing, the collection positioning via self-likes feels very strange to most creators and it is also a never ending battle nobody really wants to fight. it doesn't feel honest, organic nor stylish to buy your art to the top.
That you and the guys you mentioned put all that effort in your vision was not the criticism. 😉

I know the popular collection ranking looks odd, but that’s because it’s skewed by the limited number of users involved; as more users leave likes, the ranking will naturally adjust itself. It’s essentially a statistical issue stemming from a small sample size. The same thing happened here with post "Upvalues," but as the scale of on-chain content valuation grows, the initial impression will improve.
It is important that a "like" or upvalue not be free, in order to prevent the spam and manipulation seen today on social media and in NFT markets, where content is free and moderation is centralized. Micropayments for likes serve as a tool for community moderation.
