curious of your thoughts on the nature of reality, brooz. If not fully on board with simulation what are the nuances? I personally don't lock in on any theory but have feelings and intuitions about it.

I mean this double slit experiment is an anomaly in that it doesn't conform to what science tells us
I don't think we are in a simulation l, I don't think we would have such advanced feelings like ego, love etc if we were simulated. however, once ai starts taking over then a simulation wouldn't be too far fetched I don't think.
but also, if the universe was a simulation, what kind of mega super computer would be needed to process all of that data...unless simulation isn't meant in the ai term, and we are a universe inside a petri dish...
I’ve heard theories of the hormones essentially driving us (would explain the emotional component) and that we are powered through the nervous system. Like “jacked in” through it. Would this mean we aren’t real? To me, not all. We (I, you) express through whatever this thing is. And in fact we are so much more than the limited ‘place’ we find ourselves in, simulation or no simulation. I’m only conveying things I’ve read and heard. No one knows even if they say they do, in my opinion. Whatever it is, it’s a glorious, fabulous, terrible, wild mystery. Sometimes I think interpretation best left to the poets and mystics and artists.
I think the idea of multiverses, higher dimensions, simulation etc all stems from some fundamental truths somewhere down the line
like myths such as werewolves , vampires , demons etc there's some truth no matter how thin
werewolves and vampires therefore diseases that give some effects and I think through word of mouth and Chinese whispers the narrative has grown.
I think the idea of demons or demonic possession is actually how people used to diagnose schizophrenia or mental illness

@Brooz on the topic of simulation theory, I would prefer to believe that it was not true.
But, the most significant thing, in my opinion, that would make me think it to be true, is the Mandela effect.
The double slit theory is interesting, but not necessarily as far reaching as the ME in my thoughts.
I believe simulation theory over God though lol
